10 Line Tuesday
Thanks blogger "WriterTammy" for posting an inspiring 10 Line Tuesday!
Here's what I did with my classes today boiled down to 10 lines:
_____________________________________________
Taught appositives to 5th grade
Miranda Rights, book review intros,
the value of planning, and talked with 4 girls
about how toxic the gossip on their clandestine chat room
is to them and our community.
Picked the 4th grade up from P.E.
jumpy, sweaty, thirsty, and chatty.
Focused their attention using word games
slipped in a "walk through" of a planning packet
shooed them to the art room; took a deep, long breath.
I really like this format. It's enough to be poignant, and have your reader see into a bit of your day, but leaves enough for the imagination. I enjoyed reading it!
Margaret, this is wonderful. There's so much packed into your ten lines. I know those "jumpy, sweaty, thirsty, and chatty" students after PE. Yet you managed to get them focused! And I took that long, deep breath with you.
